As the week comes to a close, more numbers are coming in. So far Marshfield has contributed over 200 items with many more bags and boxes to be counted to make the total almost 300 items(thanks to a contribution of 70 from Tabor Academy). This is an overwhelming show of support for both Hunger is Scary and the local families who are in need of these generous donations. A huge thanks to all of those involved, especially the CCD classes from St. Ann's by the Sea Parish in Marshfield. Without their help we would not have been able to collect so much food from such a wide area.
We are also waiting for more numbers to come through Mahwah, New Jersey where volunteers still helped collect food even after hurricane Sandy. Again, this is a huge show of support and determination to go out in the aftermath of such a large scale, in a heavily affected area, and collect donations.
This was a very successful first year and we again thank everyone for their support.
